• Philosophy: The Hollywood Wildcats Spring Recreation Program is modeled after the European, and the Americas  Club Systems .  It first a community of players, parents, coaches that work together to create a safe, healthy, and enjoyable place to learn and grow as athletes.  We are the only member of the Florida Youth Soccer Association (FYSA) in Hollywood and part of the FIFA.  We follow each player from the moment they register in the Wildcats Soccer Club in any of our programs.  They are continually assessed for improvement and placed according to their needs.  We pride ourselves in keeping communication open with parents so as to better develop the person and the athlete.

Description: The Wildcats Spring Recreation Program is is for all  players from  4 years  to 16 years old that would like to reach their maximum potential.  Our goal is to provide the most up to date training methods to develop young athletes.

Recreation Spring Training:  Is a development program for all level players and players wanting to get to the next level.   Elite training has three components built around the individual player

• Skill and technique – improve individual abilities
• Tactical – work on cooperative play in small groups
• The program allows our staff to work with the players in small groups according to needs.  The player is offered the opportunity to work with different players and trainers.  Each of these expands the experience of the player.
• Physical – Quickness, Flexibility, strength and endurance
• Players are coached by certified and proffessional  coaches.

Fees : $ 125 for Hollywood resident , $ 145 for non resident.

Period :   March 5th through May 11.

Spring Break:  April 9 – April 14, 2012

Description: The Wildcats Elite Travel program is for qualified players from U9-U18 that would like to reach their maximum potential.  It is Restrictly for palyers who wants to join the TRAVEL PROGRAM.  Our goal is to provide the most up to date training methods to develop young athletes.  The program allows our young athletes to compete against top teams from the tri-county area, play in FYSA sanctioned tournaments, Play in Regional tournaments and eventually play in the State cups.   Our program runs throughout the year with 4 important periods.

1. Pre-Season- Late August – Late October –
   • Phase 1 -Physical conditioning and return to form
   • Phase 2- Technical /General Tactical
   • Phase 3 – Position training
   • Phase 4 – Team Preparation for Competition
2. Competitive Season– Although the competitive season is the longest period of the year, players and their parents will find it to be the most memorable.   It is a time when players become teammates and make friends that will last. Players will be asked to prepare for competition and will practice twice a week for 90min.  Half of the games will be played on their home field and the other half will be in the tri-county area.
   • Starts in November with a Kickoff Tournament
   • Boys will play in SFUYSA league until late February
   • Girls will play in FLUGSA league until late February
   • Playoff will be in March
   • FYSA Region A cup is in March
   • Depending on team success at Region A cup, the state cup would occur in April.
3. Elite Spring Training:  Is a development program for travel level players and players wanting to get to the next level.   Elite training has three components built around the individual player.

Online registration for the Fall (2011-12) Recreational program is open to players born between 8/1/1994 and 7/31/2007. The cost is $150.00 for Hollywood residents and $170 for non residents. The last day to register is 10/31/2011.

Our Rec Program is an instructional league designed to provide a safe, learning environment for our kids in a fun, healthy and nurturing atmosphere. For more information read Cat Chat. Even though our coaches have gone through a coach’s training course and are continually monitored by our professional staff and Board of Directors, they are still just parents like yourselves who have volunteered a tremendous amount of their personal time for your children. Please respect them, just as you would like them to respect you and your children.

First and foremost, we are all here to have fun.

Secondly, we are all here to learn about:
• soccer
• the value of good sportsmanship
• the importance of teamwork
and to improve our soccer skills.

Our Rec Program is an instructional program for our players, coaches and the referees. Every team makes the end-of-season playoffs. (For U-6 & U-8, we keep no scores or standings.) Remember, the kids are here just to have fun, so should the coaches and parents.

Our referees are barely older than our kids and are also just learning about soccer. Please respect their efforts. Remember, not every call will be made, and not every situation will be seen the same way by all involved. Parents should never converse with any referee about any game call, either during or after any game.

The Hollywood Wildcat Soccer Club is run by volunteer parents through our Board of Directors. Please show us the same respect you would like us to show you. If you’re not happy with how a situation is handled, don’t complain, get involved.

Player Participation Rules:

Every child must play at least ½ of every game, no exceptions except for health reasons or practice/game infractions. (Continually missing practice is a valid and acceptable reason for a coach to “bench” a player.)

No child may play goalie for more than half of any game. If a child plays goalie, they must play at least one other quarter out of the goalie position.

If you feel that any coach has not honored either of these two rules, please speak to your coach about it. If it is not resolved by the next game, then please bring this matter to the attention of a member of our Board who will always be present at the field.

Parent Participation Rules

Please be a positive influence on our participants. Please try to make only positive comments.

Parents and other spectators are only allowed on the opposite side of the field as the coaches and the team bench. Also, please stay at least 5’ behind the sideline (or behind the second sideline if there is one).

Parents are NEVER allowed onto the field until after the game is complete, even during time-outs, breaks, or injuries.

Parents are not to address any referee about any matter, either during or after any game.

If you have any issues, please address them with your coach in a private setting. If your coach can not or will not bring resolution, please find a Board Member and explain the situation to them.

After each game and/or practice, please clean up after yourselves. Also please refrain from smoking while in our park.

Coaches are not baby sitters. Please do not leave the area during practices unless the coach has said it is OK.

Please try to be timely to all games and practices and let your coach know in advance, if possible, if your child will not be at the next game.

Please help keep all children from hanging on the goal crossbars at any time.

2011/2012 Travel Try-Outs schedule and Process:

Are you  interested in increasing and  improving your soccer skills, have  more soccer practices, play in a competitive league against other cities leagues and teams in the South Florida area, and play in tournaments, we invite you to our Travel Try-Outs at the end of the month.  The Try-out will start on May 31.   To register  for the  try out, you will need to register your child in the Travel Competitive Program 2011/2012 season.  please visit us at www.hollywoodwildcats.com and click on the Registration picture.  

 The  process of the Registration and Try outs as follow:

1-      When you complete the registration, If you chose to pay via check or cash, please make sure you bring a check or cash half hour prior to the try-outs so we can complete the registration.

2-      If you cannot pay the full amount.  Please bring  2 postdated checks , one is dated  the date of the try out, and the other is dated for July 15.  Other payment arrangement must be approved by the registrar.

3-      If your child did not make the team , we will refund you the money back by July 1^st. 

4-      All Players must check in 20 – 30  minutes prior the try-out time,

5-      All players will be contacted by their coaches by June 15.   The coach will advise the parents of a team meeting to go over his or her schedule practices and plans. 

6-      The Club will update you with any info about the next season, games start and end dates, and block out dates….etc..

7-      International Waiver Form:  All international players of age 12 years old and above, who were born outside the United State must submit the form prior to practices. The form can be picked up at the Club house.

  All of the Try-outs will be at Boggs East ( PAL fields), and all check-ins are at the club house  (Boggs West)

THE PLAYER MUST ATTEND THE TRYOUTS TO BE ON A TEAM & MUST BE 7 YEARS OLD
